FAQs

What do I wear to a fusion wedding?

1

Feel free to dress to the nines! Culturally, Bengali wedding guests do not wear white, black, or red, so please refrain from these colors. However, for men, black suits are acceptable.
Traditional Desi garb is highly encouraged for all but if you prefer to dress as you usually do, please come in colour. It’s funner celebrating with colours and happiness.

Can I bring the kids?

2

This is an adults-only affair apart from our nephew.

Can I bring a guest with me?

3

Only if they were formally invited on the wedding invite.

Is there a hotel block?

4

No.

There are several options for accommodation nearby including airbnbs and hotels around Bowral, see the ‘Travel’ tab for more help. Bendooley Estate, where we will be staying, has limited accommodation on site which includes studio cottages, or houses that sleep 6-10 people. It’s a 2 night minimum policy, however if you’d like to stay in one of the cottages for the Sunday night only please reach out ASAP and we will speak to the venue about making an exception.

Yes, there is plenty of available parking at Bendooley Estate, right next to the Book Barn. See map.

Rideshare services like Uber aren’t as well-serviced in the Southern Highlands but taxi services are fairly reliable. We will be in touch with taxi companies ahead of time as well.

Once you have booked your accomodation, if you feel comfortable please let us know the address to assist with logistics.
